A Big night in Manchester
We had an absolute blast at the @peopleschoicedrinksawards in Manchester. A touch emotional today!
Knowing our blends would be tasted against single malt brands we weren't sure how things would go. Whilst we believe that our blends will deliver on the palate, the blind-tasting judging process is always a nerve-wracking time.
What makes this competition unique in the UK is the fact that as well as the expert panel - there's a consumer round too. Double pressure.
So when went down in Manchester town?
Big night for SUPERBLEND, which won the "Easy weeknight, £45 and under Category" as well as coming runner up in the non-Scotch or USA whisky category to such an exciting new wave distillery Single Malt Whisky project...@whitepeakdistillery
And then our liquid love letter to our neighborhood Leith (Experience N.9 // The Elixir of Leith) was the runner-up in the Scotch Category to a liquid from one of our favorite distilleries of ALL TIME (Caol ila, bottled by @bravenewspirits)
Why are we so psyched by these results? Firstly - yay for blends! But more importantly... winning in the <£45 category signifies an important milestone for us on our mission to make the best flavours in whisky available to more people via the magic of blending.
