We set out to make the ultimate go-to whisky — the whisky we always wanted to make.

It captures everything we’ve learned so far: through our award-winning limited releases, new-world discoveries, and the relationships we’ve built along the way. This is the distillation of all we’ve discovered since founding Woven five years ago.

A yummy blend of three iconic whisky styles — corn, wheat and single malt — each chosen for flavour and texture, then brought together with the same rigour that defines all our blends.

BEHIND THE BLEND

The goal was simple but ambitious: to create a true go-to whisky — something you’d reach for every day, yet still find depth and discovery each time you taste it.

In today’s whisky world, the rise of high-priced single malts has left a gap. The mid-tier is full of compromises — whiskies that are affordable but rarely remarkable. We built Woven Whisky to fill that gap. A house blend for real life. Flavour-forward, versatile, and generous by design.

To make it, we looked beyond the usual sources, choosing whiskies that traditional blenders might overlook — flavour goldmines we’d discovered across five years of limited releases and collaborations with the new wave of whisky maker from around the world.

The first batch brings together:

South African corn whisky shaped by hot-climate maturation.
Canadian corn whisky finished in PX sherry for richness.
Irish wheat grain for creaminess and balance.
Speyside malts for fruit, sweetness, and depth.

Part of the inspiration came from an unlikely place: sneakers. Specifically, the Nike x Tom Sachs “General Purpose Shoe.” Sachs challenged the obsession with pristine, box-fresh shoes — creating something designed to be worn everyday, scuffed, and lived in. The value lies in the item being useful, reliable, and not precious.

Something in the idea of a ‘general purpose whisky’ sparked us. Was this the answer we were looking for to remedy the bad tastethe ‘ meteroic rise’ of high end whisky had left in our mouth? could we look at whisky in the same way?

Could it be something you use and share, not hoard?
Something that earns its meaning through moments of connection, not resale value?

Because whisky has drifted towards the rare, the collectible, the untouchable. But that’s never been what drew us in.

Woven Whisky is our reaction to that — a whisky made to be opened, poured, and shared. Reliable, generous, and full of character. A companion for the everyday moments that matter. This is our attempt to reconnect whisky to what we think matters. Flavour. Connection. People - and the discovery of new possibilities.

It’s a global blend of grain and malt whiskies — distilled from barley, wheat, and corn, chosen for texture and depth, not origin or reputation. We source from trusted makers worldwide, then layer each component on our blending table in Leith.

The result is smooth, flavourful and quietly complex — notes of honeyed grain, toasted spice and soft orchard fruit. A whisky made for enjoyment, and sharing.
