After a few years where special occasions were cancelled or postponed, We wanted to create a whisky that could crown those intimate, special moments.
Channelling the conversation drenched, late night get-togethers that everyone missed so dearly, we sought to blend an after dinner whisky that would thrive in those lower tempo occasions, family get togethers, reunions and the like. The moments that feel so special you wish you could bottle them.
We went shopping for big whiskies that had a touch of class about them. Unusally heavy, herbal, waxy with depth. Putting them together was a slow, drawn out process. We spent time getting to know each element before slowly building them. An enjoyable process, but a long one.
We joked about the taste of after eights that for a while, refused to go away, the joys of snuff, midnight fireworks. We talked alot about the best dinner parties we'd ever been to.... and the worst.
Grain from a very old cask of North Brittish. Peatiness from a Knockdhu cask in it's mid teenage years. More grain from the Highlands in its second decade and the Glentauchers we waxed so lyrical about for its silky sherry features in the Elixir of Leith.
Its one for an occassion.
